Kuwait Suspends The Issuance Of Entry And Work Visas To Filipino Workers

In a circular, Kuwait suspended the issuance of all entry and work visas to Filipino workers. According to reports, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid issued a decision to suspend issuing all visas to Filipino workers for the failure of the Philippines to implement the provisions of the labour agreement between the two countries.

Sources stated that the decision was based on a violation of the terms and conditions of the bilateral labour agreement.
