According to a knowledgeable source within the institution, who disclosed details to Al-Rai, the Housing Authority has long faced challenges in securing an adequate number of engineers, particularly in certain specialized fields. This scarcity is attributed to a lack of interest among citizens with civil engineering and architecture backgrounds to pursue careers in the institution.

The source further elaborated that the nature of engineering work at the PAHW predominantly involves field operations rather than office-based tasks, necessitating frequent site visits. With the implementation of initiatives such as the Residential Housing program, aimed at activating housing city projects following new regulations, the workload for engineers is expected to double.
