Two Years Jail For Expat And Need To Return 540,000 Kd Stolen From Cooperative Society

Kuwaiti criminal court sentenced in absentia an Egyptian man who worked for the Fahaheel Cooperative Society for two years in prison in addition to ordering him to return the funds he embezzled before he escaped to his country.

According to report, an Egyptian man is accused of stealing KD 540,000 by forging invoices and registering goods that do not exist, then transferring the money to his account in Egypt.

The Co-op Society officials reportedly discovered the embezzlements after the suspect left Kuwait.
