Passengers' Dispute Leads To Delay And Legal Action On A Kuwait Airways Flight
Kuwait Airways flight KU414 experienced a delay departing from Bangkok Airport, reportedly due to an altercation among passengers. The airline attributed the delay to a quarrel that erupted onboard, leading to the involvement of the Public Prosecution.
Following the incident, female passengers were detained on charges related to instigating violence during the flight. Allegedly, two passengers resisted authorities, including one identified as the plane’s security officer. The escalation of the situation prompted the flight’s return to Bangkok International Airport to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
The Public Prosecution conducted interrogations and directed two individuals for further examination by the General Department of Criminal Evidence as part of ongoing investigations. The disruption caused chaos and anxiety among other passengers, prompting the captain to comply with security procedures and return to the airport.
Kuwait Airways affirmed its commitment to taking legal action against those involved and emphasized the importance of all passengers adhering to security procedures and company regulations, as well as international laws, to maintain the safety of all onboard. The airline expressed gratitude to passengers for their cooperation during the incident.
