Mpw Has Suspended The Salaries Of 2,000 Employees For Not Adhering To New Fingerprint System
The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) has suspended the salaries of 2,000 employees because of their lack of commitment to adhere to the new fingerprint attendance system that has the approval of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), reports Al-Anba daily quoting ministry sources. The sources added, the ministry had warned all employees who do not use the fingerprint system to mark their attendance.
The sources said that the process of stopping the salaries of these employees was done in coordination with the ministry’s Employees Affairs Committe and the CSC, pointing out that the ministry will apply all legal procedures against these employees because the new fingerprint attendance is mandatory.
He said that the ministry had earlier informed the employees (13,000) to update their fingerprints three months ago, but there are 2,000 employees who have failed to do so, which led the ministry to stop their salaries until the update of data of their fingerprints. The sources added the ministry will be linked to the CSC next April so that everyone complies with the rules and regulations of the CSC.
