New Tunnel Opened In Cairo Street Project

The General Authority for Roads and Land Transport has proudly announced the inauguration of a new tunnel as part of the Cairo Street project. Positioned beneath the Second Ring Road, this tunnel serves as a crucial link between the areas of Daiya, Al-Dasma, Al-Mansouriya, and Al-Qadisiyah, significantly improving connectivity in the region.

Featuring three lanes directing traffic towards Kuwait City, this newly opened tunnel marks a milestone in the ongoing development efforts. Authorities have assured that the complementary lanes in the opposite direction will be operational shortly, further optimizing traffic flow and accessibility.

The Cairo Street project, a comprehensive endeavor aimed at modernizing transportation infrastructure, spans over 7 kilometers of road development. Alongside the newly opened tunnel, it encompasses the construction of three additional tunnels, five ground-level bridges, a flyover bridge, 23 strategically positioned bus stops, and seven pedestrian bridges.
