Kuwait's Dairy Market Is Contested By Six Local And Gulf Companies
According to the 'Expert' Consulting and Business Management Company, the dairy sector and its derivatives in Kuwait are experiencing increasing competition as companies and milk factories compete against each other, including Al-Marai Company, the National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC), Al-Safi Danone, Nada, KDD Company, and the Kuwait Dairy Company (KDCOW).
In addition to diversifying the products offered, experts say these companies and others compete against each other to obtain the largest market share by expanding production lines and keeping pace with customer needs and demands.
Kuwaiti customers can purchase fresh milk, fresh and long-life milk, long-life flavored milk and yoghurt products from these companies.
An expert stated that the study is intended to measure the most active companies in Kuwait's dairy sector for 2022 to provide better products and services. The study revealed that one of the competitive companies controls around 48.4% of Kuwait's dairy sector, and another company controls 21.6%.
As a result of Expert research conducted based on data on the purchasing of dairy products in February 2022, it has been determined that yoghurt accounted for 32.2% of the total consumption of dairy products, whereas fresh milk represented 27.2% of the total volume of milk consumed.
Companies in the yogurt industry face some competition on the local market and mostly rely on promotional activities to increase sales.
Eng. Nayef bin Abdul-Jalil Bastaki, CEO of Expert Consulting, said that the most important factor for building market shares of companies in the future is developing production lines and simulating customer desires.
