Kuwait And Iraq Join Forces To Eradicate Isis
Al-Manhal Al-Safi, the Iraqi ambassador, emphasized the importance of maintaining security, stability, and comprehensive cooperation with Kuwait.
According to Al-Safi, Iraq's efforts against these terrorists have led to the development of rehabilitation programs for the families of Iraqi terrorists and a call for international cooperation.
International efforts should be made to recover these terrorists and their families, who number more than 1,650. While also pointing out that ISIS has more than 125 nationalities.
He continued by saying that Kuwait was and is still the largest supporter of all efforts, providing a lot of logistical and material support to fight against the ISIS, and now it has a program that provides transportation for countries that wish to return their citizens to their countries from the fighters.
Iraq's ambassador referred to the joint Iraqi-Kuwaiti committee meeting in Kuwait after Eid Al-Fitr to discuss issues and files to enhance joint cooperation.
Kuwait and Iraq also discussed the completion of the demarcation of maritime borders beyond point 162 between the two nations.
As for the Iraqi government's decision to exempt Kuwaitis from visas, he explained: "The decision is intended to facilitate the entry of citizens from GCC countries without visas, with the aim of stimulating tourism in general."
Iraq saw great success after hosting the Gulf 25, during which approximately 70,000 Gulf tourists, mostly Kuwaitis, visited the country.
