‘it Hurts To See Abnormal, Strange Behavior’

The Kuwait Diwaniya Association issued a statement to express its disapproval and rejection of all the transgressions that happen through words, deeds, and behavior that do not take into account the principles, values and morals of the Kuwaiti society, reports Al-Anba daily.

In its statement, the association said, “It hurts us to see the abnormal and strange behavior that Kuwait is exposed to today in the hands of some of its people that insult the reputation of Kuwait and its people, spread chaos, establish a false understanding of the meaning of freedom and democracy, establish a dictatorship for the rule of the street, and show reverence to individuals at the expense of the interests of the country and its people.

It seeks to neutralize the pillars of the state and challenge its legislative institutions and laws, without awareness of the conditions and dangers in the region. We accordingly denounce and reject all the transgressions that occur in words, deeds and behavior that do not take into account the principles, values and morals of our society. We will not accept the chaos and culture of the street and the transformation of the nation’s will into empty voices and false heroism. Kuwait is full of competent, good, sincere and capable people who are able to take up the responsibility, and deal with all the critical and sensitive files and issues that await it so that the general shape of the country’s present and future can be drawn. People are bored and tired …

So where are we regarding the issues of demographics, corruption, education, economics and others? Are the problems of Kuwait reduced only to the personal differences between certain entities? Remember the verse in Quran – We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to carry it and were afraid of doing so; but man carried it. Surely he is wrong-doing, ignorant. The Constitution is clear. Following it in the relationship between the authorities is a duty. The path of reform as well as the path of chaos is clear …

God does not bless those who call for chaos on the street under the pretext of reform. Freedom, if misused, becomes a means of demolition, a breach of security, and a path to chaos. Kuwait’s security, stability, reputation and future are above all considerations. No development, economy, progress or reform will be achieved if we lose peace, security, stability, and good reputation. We affirm that Kuwait, with its loyal children, its constitution, and its democracy, will remain great. We ask God to grant everyone wisdom and guide them towards the right path, preserve Kuwait as an oasis of safety and security, and help in avoiding temptations, both visible and invisible. Matters are handled by wise people … Without them, matters would be handled by the wicked.”
