Filipino Couple Held For Running Illegal Dental Clinic In Flat
The Hawalli police raided an apartment in Salmiya which was turned into a dental clinic in Salmiya and arrested a Filipino couple, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the man works for a contracting company and the woman is a housewife and has nothing to do with dentistry.
The arrest came after an Egyptian informed the authorities that the couple was running the ‘dental clinic’ without a license. He also complained that people periodically visit the apartment and cause inconvenience to the residents of the building. Police have taken into custody the 40-year-old husband and his wife. The raiding party also seized medical tools and other equipment used in the ‘clinic’.
During interrogation the couple admitted to working without licence and said they offered services at a low cost. A reliable security source said the couple is awaiting deportation. Their names will be added to the list of people barred from entering the country.
