Decision To Ban Recruitment Of Expatriate Below 30 Years Of Age Postponed

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, the State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh disclosed the decision preventing the recruitment of expatriate workers below 30 years of age has been postponed for further study.

The minister explained the decision, which should have been executed early next year, affects the holders of Diploma, Bachelor, Master, and PhD degrees.

She noted the Public Authority for Manpower agreed at a recent meeting that implementation of the decision should come up after considering the possible consequences in the labor market. She also presented justifications by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Small Projects Fund for rejecting the decision, noting a number of agencies normally recruit young and fresh graduates for some of their activities.
