Kuwait Municipality’s Public Relations Department has disclosed the achievements of the Emergency Team of the Capital Municipality in the month of July, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In a press statement, it explained that the achievements include issuance of 86 citations, removal of 176 encroachments on state properties, closure of 12 shops, eight baqalas and showrooms, and removal of 873 advertisements from streets and public places in the Capital Governorate.
These achievements are part of the media campaign launched by Kuwait Municipality under the slogan “Connect with Us” with the aim of removing encroachments on state properties, violating advertisement on roads and public places, pursuing street hawkers, curbing exploitation of lands without license, and lifting abandoned and neglected vehicles as well as following cleaning companies to ensure they comply with the provisions of the contracts they signed with Kuwait Municipality.
The teams also responded to public complaints lodged with the municipality via social media. Head of the Emergency Team Eng. Zayed Al-Enezi revealed that the inspectors also issued 171 warnings and undertakings to violators.
