The Public Prosecution filed the abovementioned charges after the arresting officer testified that while he was on duty in Farwaniya, he noticed a vehicle driven by one of the accused who exchanged seats with his companion, thereby disrupting traffic movement. The officer then signaled for them to pull over and when he approached the vehicle, he saw packages of Lyrica on the back seat. He then searched the accused and the vehicle, resulting in the discovery of the Lyrica tablets and KD 775 cash. Attorney Yusuf Al-Adwani, who represented the accused in court, argued that the arrest and search procedures were illegal while the case documents do not include any evidence.
