4 New Categories Allowed To Transfer From Family Visa To Work Visa
The Public Authority for Manpower has added 4 new categories that are allowed to transfer from a residence permit from family ( Article 22) , to a work permit (Article 18). After extensive study by specialists in the employment affairs sector. The Deputy Director General of the Manpower Authority for Employment Affairs, Abdullah Al-Mutouteh, said that the amendment was made to benefit for some categories of family to join labor market in light of conditions in the country which is going through due to coronavirus pandemic and its effects on the economic conditions in the labor market.
Al-Mutouteh stated that “We issued Decision No. 954 of 2020 to amend Administrative Resolution No. 529 of 2020 regarding the transfer of manpower from one employer to another, by adding more categories that were initially excluded from transferring residence”, report Al Qabas. He further stated that the authority is constantly working to review its decisions within the framework of state trends and labor market conditions, in a manner that preserves the demographic composition of Kuwait, which is the matter entrusted to it according to its establishment law No. 109 of 2013.
Following categories are allowed to transfer:
1 – Spouses and children of Kuwaiti women. 2 – Kuwaiti wives. 3- Born in the State of Kuwait. 4- The Palestinians who hold documents. 5- Those who hold a diploma qualification above secondary school or higher from Kuwaiti educational institutions. 6- Second-degree relatives of those born in Kuwait. 7 – Holders of technical professions specialized in the health field who have obtained the approval of the Ministry of Health. 8- Those with educational qualifications to work in schools (faculty members).9 – Family members of the first degree relative of the deceased family, provided that there are students in Kuwaiti educational institutions.
