Work Permits For Egyptian Workers Continue To Be Suspended

The Suspension imposed by Kuwait on issuing work permits for Egyptian workers since September this year continues without any new updates, local Arabic newspapers reported.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled directed to stop issuing work permits for Egyptian workers since last September 17. The decision came as a result of the conditions imposed by the Egyptian embassy regarding setting a minimum salary for expatriate workers from Egypt, local daily reported.
