Police Arrest Five Drug Pushers

Five people have been arrested and half a kilo of shabu, chemicals, and 70 psychotropic pills have been seized from them by the criminal security sector, according to the Interior Ministry.

Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior said efforts are ongoing to combat the scourge of drugs and psychotropic substances and to arrest drug pushers and smugglers.

The ministry said the suspects had admitted to trafficking and abusing drugs following which they and the seizures were referred to the competent authority in order to take all necessary legal measures against them.

All citizens are asked to cooperate with the security men and report negative phenomena to the emergency number (112) and the Drug Control Department hotline (1884141).
