The Philippine Embassy Has Begun To Certify The Applications Of Its New Domestic Workers

Arabic local newspaper Alqabas reported that the head of the Committee to Evaluate the Status of Domestic Workers in Kuwait, Bassam Al-Shammari, revealed that the Philippine embassy in the country had started receiving requests from owners of new employment recruitment offices.

Al-Shammari told that receiving and approving applications for all domestic labor recruitment offices in the country is an important step to re-send Filipino workers after a hiatus of more than a year.

He added, “During the past period, Kuwait and the Philippines have made extensive efforts to solve the pending labor problems and the demands of the Philippines. The Public Authority for Manpower and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have also made clear efforts to reopen the market.”
