Sri Lankan Visas Are Now Being Issued

After halting visa services for Sri Lankan domestic workers due to technical issues last week, the Kuwait embassy in Sri Lanka has resumed visa services after resolving the technical error that affected its automated systems.

According to Bassam Al-Shammari, a specialist in domestic labor affairs, the relevant government agencies acted promptly upon hearing of the issue and resolved the problem promptly, which enabled the resumption of new Sri Lankan domestic workers, especially with the consent of local recruitment offices, according to Al Jarida. Given the Philippines' ongoing decision to suspend its workers' deployment to the country, this development is crucial.
