Over 82m Spent For Masks, Gloves, Sterilizers
KUWAIT CITY, May 1: Official government data, a copy of which has been obtained by the Al-Anba daily, shows that the government agencies contracted to purchase masks, gloves and sterilization materials, worth 82.32 million dinars between March to September 2020, reports the daily. The data shows that government agencies separately purchased masks of various kinds, for 79.1 million dinars, most of which were for the Ministry of Health — worth 75.8 million dinars, and the rest for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, with a value of 2.5 million dinars.
The government agencies also purchased gloves worth 1.2 million dinars, most of which were sent to the Ministry of Health — worth 981,800 thousand dinars and the National Guard 115,600 thousand dinars. As for the sterilizers, government agencies used worth 2 million dinars, the Ministry of Health 1.34 million dinars and the Ministry of Defense of 200,000 dinars.
