Online Registration For The 2024 Hajj Season Opens October 1

27 September 2023 Hajj And Umrah

As reported in Al-Rai daily, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced the launch of central online registration for the 2024 Hajj season.

Registration begins Sunday, October 1, and ends on November 10. It can be accessed through the Endowments Portal.

According to the spokesperson for the ministry, Salman Murad Al-Kandari, registration will conclude after the specified timeframe, enabling the organization to sort and select applicants accordingly.

An exhibition featuring approved Hajj campaigns sanctioned by the ministry will follow. According to Al-Kandari, prospective pilgrims can select a campaign that matches their preferences and requirements, determining the method of fee payment once an initial 25% payment has been made.

The electronic registration system is designed to achieve several objectives, including fostering a sense of competition among campaigns to offer optimal services to pilgrims, allowing pilgrims to choose a suitable Hajj program, and allowing individuals who have not undertaken Hajj before to participate.

Citizens with no more than five relatives (grandparents, parents, siblings, children, spouses) or citizens with one resident companion (wife, mother, husband, son, daughter) are targeted for registration.

Those who have previously performed the Hajj pilgrimage will not be able to register, except for three categories: elderly companions (over 70 years of age), individuals with severe mobility disabilities, and female mahrams who haven't done the Hajj before.” In addition, individuals with an unspecified nationality can register pending KSA authority approval.

Al-Kandari highlighted a specific policy regarding reservation cancellations, stating, “Pilgrims can obtain a full refund if the cancellation is before January 31, 2024. In the event that the pilgrim cancels after this date, the entire amount will be deducted from their account."

He emphasized the ministry's dedication, in accordance with directives from the Minister of Information and Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, and under the oversight of Undersecretary Dr. Badr Al-Mutairi, to streamline pilgrims' journeys to the Holy House of God, address their needs, and create an environment that is conducive to performing Hajj rituals. In accordance with the Council of Ministers' guidelines, modern technology is being leveraged to digitize government services.
