Ministry Of Education Collaborates With Interior To Stop Exam Question Leaks
As the 2023/2024 academic year draws to a close, the Ministry of Education is in the final stages of preparation for the forthcoming end-of-year exams scheduled to commence on May 15. Sources within the education sector have revealed to Al-Jarida that authorities are actively considering rotation protocols for heads and members of monitoring committees overseeing the twelfth-grade exams, set to begin on the 29th of this month.
Intensive efforts are underway to fortify monitoring mechanisms within these committees to prevent any potential instances of cheating. Additionally, there is a concerted effort to enhance collaboration with the Ministry of Interior to curb the dissemination of exam papers and solutions.
Moreover, the establishment of monitoring and correction committees is underway, with careful evaluation of selection criteria. Notably, applications to join these committees have been accepted through the Education website for the first time in the department’s history.
While primary school students are concluding their academic year, with summer vacation commencing after today’s session, school administrations will remain operational until July 1st. From this date onwards, summer vacation officially begins for both educational and administrative staff in schools. It is anticipated that primary students’ results and academic certificates will be issued by the end of the following week.
Simultaneously, middle schools have completed administering tests outside the regular schedule for their students. The focus now shifts to the commencement of end-of-year tests on Wednesday, the 15th of this month. Both tenth and eleventh-grade students are scheduled to begin their exams on the same date.
The Ministry of Education has designated the 29th of this month as the start date for twelfth-grade exams, with the scientific section scheduled to conclude on June 9th. For students in the literary section, exams will conclude on June 10th. The anticipated announcement of results is set for June 12th, through a press conference led by the Minister of Education and ministry leaders.
