Kuwait Cabinet Greenlights Formation Of Civil Service Council And Supreme Citizenship Investigation Committee

In a significant move, the Kuwait Cabinet, convened at Seif Palace under the leadership of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, gave the nod to a draft decree establishing the Civil Service Council and another decree initiating the formation of a supreme committee tasked with investigating Kuwaiti citizenship matters. This pivotal decision underscores the government's commitment to administrative reform and citizenship integrity.

Expressing gratitude to the ministers for their participation in the newly constituted government, His Highness the Prime Minister urged them to dedicate themselves to their responsibilities and translate the directives outlined in His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber’s address into action.

Emphasizing the imperative of cooperation and seamless coordination among government bodies, His Highness called for concerted efforts to expedite the execution of strategic development initiatives across the nation.

Furthermore, His Highness underscored the necessity for ministries and government agencies to furnish regular reports to the cabinet regarding the progress of ongoing projects, underscoring accountability and transparency in governance.

Responding to the Amir's address, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah reiterated the ministers' awareness of their profound responsibilities towards the nation and its citizens. He underscored the government's commitment to upholding justice, combating corruption, preserving national identity, unity, and safeguarding national security.

Sheikh Fahad stressed the significance of prudent management of national wealth, expediting project implementation, enhancing e-government services, and upholding principles of justice and transparency.

Additionally, the cabinet greenlit the formation of ministerial committees and commended the remarkable achievement of national team player Faisal Al-Rajhi, who secured the gold medal in the 5,000-meter wheelchair race at the Japan World Para Athletics Championships 2024.
