Ministry Of Interior Extends Biometric Fingerprinting Deadline

In a bid to enhance convenience for citizens and residents, the Ministry of Interior has announced an extension of the deadline for biometric fingerprinting. This decision, revealed today through an official statement, follows directives from Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior.

The statement elucidated on the rationale behind the extension, highlighting the need to optimize processes and ensure prompt completion of essential tasks within the security framework. Accordingly, citizens now have until September 30, 2024, to undergo biometric fingerprinting, while residents have until December 30, 2024, to comply with the requirement.

Additionally, the Ministry has outlined the official locations and operating hours for biometric fingerprinting services, specifying that these facilities will be available at the General Department of Criminal Evidence within the Personal Investigation Departments.

Underlining the significance of scheduling appointments in advance, the Ministry urged individuals to utilize the "Meta" platform via the "Sahel" application before visiting the designated centers. It stressed that walk-in appointments without prior scheduling will not be entertained.
