Ministry Of Education In Process Of Hiring Cleaning Workers
The Ministry of Education said a total of 4,289 residents of Arab and Asian nationalities applied for the job of ‘cleaners’ since the announcement was made that the ministry was hiring cleaning workers but 68 percent of the applications were rejected for various reasons.
The statistics, a copy of which Al-Qabas has obtained, show 1,021 applicants failed to turn up for the personal interviews despite applying for the job through the official website of the Ministry of Education, and 82 applicants failed to meet one of the requirements — waiver letter from the sponsor.
According to the statistics, so far out of the 632 male and female applicants who have been interviewed — 316 female and 148 workers – have passed the interview and procedures are underway to complete the formalities.
Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Abdul Mohsen Al-Huwailah has submitted a detailed report to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ali Al-Yaqoub on measures taken by the sector to solve the problem of the shortage of cleaners.
