Kuwait's Indian Ambassador Affirms Uninterrupted Recruitment Of Workers

Dr. Adarsh Swaika, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, affirmed the seamless process of bringing various types of Indian workers to Kuwait. Dr. Swaika highlighted that the process is unfolding without impediments, following specific mechanisms tailored to the needs of the Kuwaiti market. He emphasized the high qualifications and training of the Indian community, which is active in diverse areas of the labor market.

On the sidelines of the opening of the Kashmir Textiles Exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Kuwaiti Sadu House, Dr. Swaika stressed the importance of cultural exchange for popular and social communication among nations during a press conference. According to him, cultural exchange facilitates an understanding of different cultures and fosters a common ground. Indian textiles are renowned for their quality and creativity around the world.

In addition to praising the region's saffron, saffron products, and textiles, Dr. Swaika also praised the picturesque nature of Kashmir. The Kuwaiti ambassador expressed delight over Kuwaitis' interest in Indian culture, cuisine, and creative arts such as music and film. Textiles play a crucial role in bilateral trade.

According to Dr. Swaika, the trade exchange between India and Kuwait reached $13.8 billion last year. He expressed the embassy’s commitment to exploring new avenues that could further boost trade given the vast potential in both countries. Furthermore, the embassy's consular section issued 6,000 visas last year, emphasizing the streamlined procedures that facilitate quick visa processing.

The Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asian Affairs, Khaled Al-Yassin, who attended the event, expressed his pleasure at taking part in the event organized by the Indian Embassy and Sadu House. Underscoring their global reputation, he praised Indian textiles for their exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful designs.
