Govt Orders Dissolution Of 3 Non-government Organizations
Director of non-government organizations (NGOs) at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Dr Fawaz Al-Daihani said the ministry has issued a decision to dissolve three NGOs, one of which has already been dissolved while in the case of the two others the process in ongoing, reports Al-Rai daily.
Daihani explained the ministry monitors permanently and continuously statements issued by the board members of the NGOs to monitor any involvement in political affairs in violation of the law which binds the NGOs and the nonprofit organizations.
He stressed, everything that harms the supreme interests of the State will not be tolerated but all legal measures will be taken against any association in the legal framework after issuing sufficient warnings to the concerned NGO to correct its path.
Following the non-compliance of rules and regulations and repeated violations will lead to the dissolution of the Board of Directors and “there is a very significant possibility of the board members being referred to the Prosecutor.
