As the academic year 2023/2024 draws to a close, primary schools in Kuwait are gearing up to administer end-of-year exams. Scheduled to commence this week and extend until the end of the following week, these examinations represent a significant milestone for students across the country.

Educational sources, speaking to Al-Jarida, have confirmed that primary schools have meticulously organized the assessments. These exams were thoughtfully crafted by heads of academic subject departments in collaboration with technical guidance, ensuring their relevance and accuracy. The examination schedule has been carefully designed to accommodate students’ progression, with testing commencing at the beginning of this week and continuing through to the final week for fifth-grade students.

It has been announced that primary school students' academic year will conclude with the end of the workday on Thursday, May 9th. However, teachers will continue their duties until July 1st, in accordance with Resolution No. 1 governing working hours, vacations, and examination schedules.

Additionally, the final evaluation for excused absences at the primary stage is scheduled from May 19th to May 27th, with results expected to be available on May 29th and report cards distributed the following day. Importantly, the transfer of fifth-grade students’ files to middle schools is slated for June 23rd and 24th, while the last day for placement evaluation for primary students is June 30th.

These end-of-year procedures underscore the Kuwaiti educational system's commitment to comprehensive evaluation and facilitating smooth transitions for students as they advance to the next academic level.
