Employment Platform Will Be Launched In Kuwait For Job Seekers
In an effort to create more jobs for Kuwaitis, Kuwait's labour authorities announced they would soon launch a platform for citizens seeking jobs in the private sector.
According to acting PAM Director-General Mubarak Al Azamy, the Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) will launch an updated version of its employment platform "Fakhrana" (Our Pride) on July 7.
Furthermore, the platform helps private sector companies by displaying their job openings and assisting Kuwaiti youths in moving into the private sector to develop their skills.
Among the services the platform will provide are graduate rewards, anti-unemployment insurance, and data updates.
Kuwait has increased its efforts to replace foreigners in jobs with Kuwaitis as part of its "Kuwaitization" policy.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to increased calls in Kuwait for curbing foreign employment and accusing migrant workers of straining the country's infrastructure facilities.
