Csc Rejects Requests To Use Services Of ‘replacement Lists’ Expat Govt Staff
Non- Kuwaiti government employees included in the replacement list can not work in the government sector again, reports Al-Qabas quoting a reliable source. The source informed the daily that some government agencies completed their replacement lists at the end of March, that is, by the end of the 2020/2021 fiscal year; but they later asked the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to use the services of some employees included in the replacement lists by changing their contracts. However, the CSC rejected these requests, explaining that the non-Kuwaiti employees in the replacement lists can no longer return to work in the government sector.
Meanwhile, statistics issued by the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) revealed that 6,158 citizens left the private labor market from Jan 12 to June 30, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily obtained a copy of the statistics indicating that PAM received requests from 9,585 citizens who want to work in the government and private sectors since the beginning of this year. A total of 5,823 citizens expressed their desire to be appointed in the private sector; compared to 3,762 in the government sector. According to the statistics; 22,051 people have benefited from the authority’s electronic services as their national employment notice was renewed in the past six months.
