Bedoun Arrested For Attempting To Rob Two Expatriates
Police have arrested a bedoun for attempting to rob two expatriates — an Indian and a Pakistani — at knifepoint, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said when the men shouted for help, some pedestrians ran to their rescue, wrestled the man to the ground and called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry. The entire episode was recorded by a CCTV camera from a nearby shop.
Citizen held with drug pills: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Mangaf area in possession of “Larika” drug. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Mangaf area when they suspected a vehicle and ordered the driver to pull over. They asked him for his identification document; but as the driver was pulling out his wallet, they noticed a sachet of pills fall from his pocket. They checked it to discover they are “Larika” pills. He was arrested and referred to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a US-made vehicle, which was wanted by law to be seized based on a judicial order, was seized from a parking lot in Ahmadi Governorate.
Sheep worth KD 5000 stolen: An unknown individual stole 14 sheep from a livestock pen in Wafra area. According to security sources, a Kuwaiti employee of the National Guard filed a case at Wafra Police Station concerning the theft of 14 sheep. He revealed that the sheep stolen from his livestock pen cost around KD 5,000.
