Bahrain Prison Brawl Leads To 22-year-old Inmate's Death After Fight

According to officials, a 22-year-old inmate was killed in Bahrain's Jaw Central Reform and Rehabilitation Centre after a fight among prisoners.

The identity of the deceased has not been revealed. Within the facility, a confrontation erupted on a Friday afternoon.

The incident was captured by closed-circuit television (CCTV), allowing officials to provide a detailed timeline.

On October 27, 2023, there was an altercation among the inmates at approximately 12:39pm. Prison authorities swiftly intervened to regain control of the situation. Despite medical efforts, the inmate did not survive.

According to the General Administration of Reform and Rehabilitation, it is committed to upholding the law impartially and ensuring that necessary steps are taken to resolve the matter.
