6 Expats Kidnapped Egyptian And Force Him To Sign 4 Blank Promissory Notes
The Ministry of the Interior has opened an extensive investigation into an incident according to which an unidentified Egyptian was kidnapped and beaten by six expatriates in Khaitan, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added, three of the men have been taken into custody and their description and details were given to the police by the victim. While the three others are still at large, who the victim claims not to know them. The victim said the suspects forced him to sign 4 blank promissory notes. The 36-year-old Egyptian victim told the Khaitan Police Station he was kidnapped by four people of the same nationality.
He said the previous evening he received a telephone call and the caller said he would lend him 2,000 dinars loan to meet his financial obligations and to pay the debts he owed to others. When he came out of his house, he was surprised to see three people including the person who spoke to him on the phone. The men then bundled him in their vehicle, drove to an open ground behind the mosque in the area where three other people were waiting. The men then beat him and forced him to sign the blank promissory notes and left him bleeding
