514 New Coronavirus Cases, Total 164,622 Cases
The Ministry of Health announced today, Saturday, the registration of 514 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 164,622 cases, while a death was recorded to raise the total to 959.
The spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments has reached 52, bringing the total number confirmed to have the virus and are still receiving the necessary medical care to 6259 cases.
Al-Sanad added that the number of swabs conducted in the past 24 hours reached 8,336, bringing the total to 1520,587 tests, indicating that the percentage of infections to the number of swabs during the past 24 hours was 6.2 percent.
He renewed the call for citizens and expats to continue adopting all preventive measures, avoid contact with others, and be keen on implementing the strategy of physical distancing, and recommended everyone to visit the official accounts of the Ministry and official authorities in the country to check the instructions and recommendations to assist in limiting the spread of the virus.
And the Ministry of Health announced earlier today that 501 infections had recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 157,404.
