Youtube And Citra Work Together To Protect Public Morals

04 August 2022 Kuwait

In an effort to remove content that violates public morals through advertisements, the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) announced its partnership with YouTube.

A local Arabic daily reported that the authority receives complaints about any violating content on websites, from individuals and government agencies, which are followed up on, verified for validity, and then blocked.

In coordination with the platform, the authority blocked "YouTube" ads that violated media content controls and contradict public morals, based on complaints received.
