Young Woman Spits On Traffic Cops When Asked To Show Her Driving Licence
An unidentified young woman, driving without a licence, had the audacity to publicly spit in the face and humiliate two General Traffic Department officials, in what is seen as continued disrespect for the law and men in uniform who sometimes are even manhandled, reports Al-Rai daily.
Nonetheless, the woman has been arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution. According to a security source this happened when the two patrolmen were on a security tour in the suburb of Al-Qadsiya and suspected the woman on suspicion.
When she was asked to show her driving licence, she failed, following which they issued her a citation and at this point the woman allegedly lost her cool and spat on them.
The patrolmen immediately asked for support to control the rude woman and when another patrol with two officers asked the girl to obey the orders of the two security men, she spat on them too and hurled insults on them.
The source added securitymen were then forced to use force and the woman was arrested and taken to the police station. A security source said after interrogation, the woman was released on 200 dinars bail.
