06 December 2020 Coronavirus

The British National Health Service (NHS) announced the details of the official launch of the vaccine by Pfizer and Biontech, which will start early next week, as Health Minister Matt Hancock said that next Tuesday will be historic, with the start of vaccinations against the Corona virus.

“We are prioritizing the most vulnerable in the first place, the more than 80 years old, and care home staff and NHS colleagues will all be among the first to receive vaccinations,” Business Insider quoted Hancock as saying.

The National Health Services Authority said that the vaccinations, which will start on Tuesday, will take the first wave of injections in 50 medical centers, explaining that those over the age of 80 years, along with workers in care homes will be the first to receive the vaccine, along with their employees at greater risk. .

The authority stated that patients over 80 years old, and those who are already in the hospital as outpatients or discharged from home after staying in the hospital, will be among the first to receive the vaccine, as hospitals will invite them to come and talk to home care service providers.

According to Stephen Boyce, the medical director at the Health Services Authority, despite the enormous complications, hospitals will start the first phase of the largest vaccination campaign in the country's history, with the first batch of vaccines arriving in hospitals by Monday.
