Trio Arrested For Selling Sick Leave To Expats

The General Administration of Residency Affairs of Ministry of the Interior, arrested a gang consisting of 3 people from the Indian community who are specialized in granting medical leave to government employees and companies from Asian and Arab expats for exchange of money.

After investigations were conducted the detectives obtained information about the identity of one of the gang members, and they sent a undercover informant who asked him for sick leave for a period of 3 days. The accused obliged the source and handed over the medical leave signed with a forged stamp belonging to one of the doctors in exchange of money.

The sources added that the accused informed about his two partners, and they were arrested, and referred to the investigation office, and they all admitted that they had obtained 14 forged seals of doctors in various departments of health centers in the Ahmadi and Farwaniya governorates through a Bangladeshi expat who left the country more than a year ago.
