‘thank You, Citizens, Expats’
The Minister of Interior, Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali, sent a message of thanks and appreciation to citizens and residents for their interaction and response to the decisions of the Council of Ministers regarding preventing gatherings and staying put in their respective areas during the ‘national holidays’ celebrations, in the interest of public safety, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The Directorate General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry stated in a press statement Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali also thanked the men in uniform for their presence in all regions of the country and their dedication and sincerity in carrying out their duties.
He expressed his happiness at the great cooperation which he saw between the securitymen and the public, and the awareness and understanding during the exceptional circumstances that the country was going through, praising every one individually for showing the spirit of responsibility.
He called on the citizens and residents to continue to adhere to the health requirements for the sake of everyone’s safety until God Almighty removes this burden from everyone, and prayed to Almighty God to protect Kuwait and its people from all harm. Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali visited the chalets areas in Bneider, Julai’a, Al-Zour, the Ali Sabah Al- Salem Police Station and the security points in Al-Khairan.
In a press statement, the ministry said the visit comes to inspect the security situation and to determine the extent of the commitment of the field forces concerned to implement the decisions of the Council of Ministers to prevent gatherings and marches during the national holidays. During the tour, the Minister of Interior was briefed on the patrols locations and the continuous presence of security men to deal immediately with people gathering in violation of the law. During the tour, the minister was accompanied by the Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic and Operations Affairs, Major-General Jamal Al- Sayegh.
Meanwhile, the General Administration of Customs announced that the video currently circulating on social media about the customs clearance hall in Sulaibiya area was filmed when it was under maintenance work, reports Al-Rai daily. The General Administration of Customs had issued a statement about this video which filmed the land customs clearance hall in Sulaibiya area during maintenance work. In the statement, it explained, “As soon as the transportation operations were completed, the site was cleaned of the waste that resulted from the transportation and evacuation operations. Then maintenance work had begun on the right side of the hall by carrying out the demolishing and removal operations”
