Stop Seconding Employees From Outside To Work In Television, Radio Programs
The Ministry of Information issued a decision to stop seconding employees from outside to work in various television and radio programs starting from the beginning of next year, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources Sources clarified the concerned ministry officials took this step to ease the financial burdens of the ministry in line with its policy on rationalizing expenditures and stop unjustified spending in a number of programs that second employees from outside the ministry from time to time, especially in certain technical jobs and others.
Sources confirmed the ministry decided to start taking serious and concrete steps to stop the wastage of public money at the beginning of the coming year – after the completion of the program course at the end of December.
Sources said meetings are being held in this regard to take appropriate decisions to limit unjustified spending, explaining that any shortage or deficit can be compensated by utilizing the ministry’s employees in various sectors; especially since many departments have the manpower for this purpose.
Sources added the ministry has formed a specialized committee tasked to lay down a mechanism to select a very limited number of collaborators from outside the ministry for the jobs needed in these programs, indicating that the mechanism for selecting collaborators will be done through the coordinated efforts of the Administrative Affairs Sector and other concerned sectors to include the specializations required in these programs.
