1st Women Tennis Tournament Concludes
The 1st Women Tennis Tournament organized by the Women’s Club concluded on April 27.
According to a press release, the tournament witnessed the participation of 31 players out of who 14 were from the Women’s Club and remaining from other clubs and bodies.
Sarah Behbehani came first in the individual category followed by Alaa Al-Shammari. In the doubles category, Sarah Behbehani and Latifa Sayyed Omar took first place, followed by Alaa Al-Shammari and Farida Eyad in second place.
Kavani and Koshi took first and second places respectively in the U-16 category.
The tournament, which was organized for the first time, left a huge impression on the participants and audience in terms of the organization and the level of performance which amazed longtime observers of tennis as well as the ability of the Kuwait Women’s Club to organize international-level tennis tournaments.
During the closing ceremony, Board Chairperson of the Women’s Club Fadhila Al-Shuwailan honored the winners and praised the efforts rendered by the organizing committee which led to the success of the tournament.
