Public Security Sector Has This Year Managed To Reduce The Crime Rate Compared To Previous Years
Public Security Sector has this year managed to reduce the crime rate compared to previous years, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, officers from the sector had carried out several campaigns throughout the country particularly in residential areas and arrested hundreds of individuals who were wanted by law for enforcement of judicial sentences and referred them to the concerned authorities. They recently busted a gang of Asian expatriates who were specialized in burglaries.
They raided many locations that were being used as factories for manufacturing alcohol and for selling drugs. The sector has adopted a policy in terms of responding promptly to complaints, based on directives from the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah.
The sources also affirmed the keenness of the Public Security Sector to follow up the complaints raised against reckless drivers especially in residential areas and take necessary legal actions against them including seizing their vehicles.
