02 January 2021 Information

The global marketing sector of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced the export of the first shipment of low-sulfur diesel to Pakistan represented by the Pakistan National Oil Company, on board the petroleum product tanker (Al-Salam-2) owned by the Kuwait Oil Tanker Company.

The corporation said in a statement today, Friday, that the shipment is the first imported by Pakistan from the State of Kuwait, as the Pakistan National Oil Company held an official celebration on this occasion in the presence of the representative of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation office in Karachi.

They stated that this step comes after strenuous efforts on the part of the global marketing sector in the Corporation to keep pace with the changes in the specifications of petroleum products in various global markets, in conjunction with the operation of the various production units in the environmental fuel project in the Kuwait National Petroleum Company.

The Pakistani market is considered one of the strategic markets for the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, as the State of Kuwait is the largest supplier of diesel to the Pakistani market.
