Paci Will Not Charge 5 Kd For Unissued Cards

Jaber Al-Kandari, Deputy Director General for Civil Registration Affairs at PACI, confirmed that PACI will not charge the 5 KD card renewal fee for those whose cards have not yet been issued.

PACI stopped issuing cards to all those who submitted card renewals before last May 23. The new request are processed and cards are issued within 24 to 48 hours in most cases.

According to Jaber Al-Kandari, those who paid the 5 KD fee earlier will not need to pay it again during their next renewal request since the old requests are not being processed.

Additionally, he advised residents to collect their cards as soon as they are ready so that they do not accumulate in the machines, which delays the issuance of new ones.
