News Residency Law - Fees Will Be Tripled?

Authorities are preparing a new residency law and new mechanisms to grant visit visas and residency permits, local daily Kuwait Times reported. Interior Minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah will attend a meeting by end of this month to finalize the procedures, the report added.

Amendments to visit visas will be issued in January. All the visa fee will be doubled or tripled. The categories who will be able to obtain will be reduced from the current list of categories.

Strict security campaigns will continue against residency violators. Areas with large expatriate population will be isolated for strict security checking to nab all violators, it added.
