Stay Away From Ikon Wall Fans From Lulu Hyper Market

A few months ago, I purchased two Ikon side wall hanging fans from Lulu Hypermarket. Unfortunately, my experience with these fans was far from satisfactory. One of the fans had its blades broken while in operation, and the broken pieces were ejected from the fan. Luckily, no one was injured during the incident. The other fan stopped working, and the cause of the malfunction remained unknown.

I decided to take both fans back to Lulu for repairs. The store representatives informed me that the broken fan blades were not covered under warranty. Nevertheless, they agreed to repair both fans and returned them to me.

After reinstalling the fans, I switched on the one in the hall and went to the washroom. To my dismay, the fan vibrated intensely, eventually falling to the ground and shattering into pieces. I returned to Lulu once again to address the issue.

The Lulu staff explained that the fan's fall was due to the absence of a safety screw, which the electrician had failed to install. When I asked for the user manual to verify this claim, they admitted they did not have one to provide. I also questioned them about the initial incident with the broken fan blades, but they had no explanation or response.

In light of my experience, I would advise caution when considering the purchase of Ikon wall fans, especially since they are still available in the market. If you do choose to buy one, ensure the safety screw is correctly installed. However, even with the safety screw in place, if the fan blades were to break as they did in my case, I cannot confidently vouch for the product's safety and reliability.
