Moe: Distance Education And Teachers Working In Two Shifts, Morning And Evening
Arabic local newspaper Alqabas reported that The Ministry of Education decided to divide the school day and school attendance into two shifts, the first in the morning for the intermediate and secondary stages and the second in the evening for the elementary stage, with the exception of the first, second and third grades, where education in them will be “asynchronous”, that is, through the recorded lessons in addition to kindergarten. This came during the meeting held by the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi, with the e-learning committee today, Thursday, to discuss the latest preparations for the start of the new academic year 2020-2021 “remotely” for all school levels. Al-Harbi stressed, during the meeting, taking into account the living conditions and reducing the burden on families, as the committee discussed dividing the school day and staff attendance at intervals, according to the educational stages, so that parents can follow up on our students, and the committee concluded the recommendation about dividing the school day according to the following schedule: – 1- Education in the kindergarten through the third grade of primary school is not synchronized “through recorded lessons.” 2- The rest of the primary school classes (fourth and fifth), by means of simultaneous instruction during the evening period from 3 pm to 5 pm. 3- Simultaneous education begins in the middle school in the morning period from 8 in the morning until 10:30 in the morning. 4- Simultaneous education begins in the secondary stage in the morning period from 10.40 in the morning until 1.30 in the afternoon.
