Ministry Of Education Introduces Flexible School Hours And Fingerprint Registration

15 February 2024 Education

The Ministry of Education is initiating an experimental approach to flexible school hours starting today, affecting all general education, Arab private, religious education, and special education institutions. Under the new system, kindergartens and special education schools will operate for 5 hours daily, while other stages will adopt a 6-hour schedule, including a 45-minute grace period.

In conjunction with this initiative, insider sources revealed to Al-Rai that the Ministry will mandate fingerprint registration for all staff, encompassing teachers and administrators. Non-compliance within a week will result in immediate salary suspension, without prior notification.

The Ministry has stressed the compulsory nature of fingerprint registration for all employees, with stringent measures in place to withhold salary disbursements for non-compliant individuals. It has urged teachers and administrators to promptly register their fingerprints to avoid legal consequences, reiterating that this measure applies to all staff without exceptions.

  • Starts from 6:45 to 7:30 am, and ends from 11:45 to 12:30 pm.
