Warning Issued To Private Sector: Delayed Wage Payments Could Lead To Severe Penalties

In a stern warning to private sector entities, Acting Deputy Director of the Public Authority for Manpower for Workforce Protection Sector Affairs, Dr. Fahd Al-Murad, has emphasized the serious repercussions faced by businesses failing to disburse workers' monthly wages promptly.

Dr. Al-Murad highlighted that such non-compliance could result in the suspension of the employer’s file, empowering workers to seek alternative employment opportunities with other companies. This announcement was made during the Public Authority for Manpower's observance of International Labor Day.

Underlining the Authority’s commitment to ensuring fair treatment in the labor market, Dr. Al-Murad stressed the importance of educating both employers and employees about their respective rights and responsibilities. This message was reiterated during the International Labor Day celebrations held at the Avenues Mall.
