A source close to the ‘Arabian Horse Beauty Competition’ has denied what was published by the Al- Rai daily that the lawyer Mubarak Al-Khashab accompanied by a colleague, a police officer and a military man from the Ministry of Defense attempted to defame the reputation of the competition which is being held under the auspices of the Amiri Diwan chaired by Sheikha Sarah Al-Sabah, reports Al-Rai daily.

The source explained the competition is an international event held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir and has been successful despite attempts to distort it by certain parties, including lawyer Al-Khashab, another attorney, a Lieutenant Colonel from the Ministry of Interior and a military man from the Ministry of Defense.

The source denied the four people attacked members of the organizing committee, including members from the Amiri Diwan and that the results of the competition were announced on time contrary to what has been claimed by the lawyer.

The source added the lawyer and his partners fabricated an argument which according to them allegedly resulted in hurling insults and humiliated the members of the Organizing Committee and found no response from the manager of the Office of the Minister who preferred not to react.

The source added after the end of the tournament, these four persons gathered a number of people, and were involved in argument with members of the organizing committee again, including the staff at the Amiri Diwan.

The source pointed out that it was the manager of a minister’s office who filed a case No 56/2019 against the lawyer and his partner and accused them of assaulting him and others contrary to what has been alleged by Al-Khashab. The source added that the members who were subjected to insult an humiliation plan to file complaints against the lawyer and his partners.

The source also pointed out that all these attempts have failed to defame the contest, which has achieved great success by the testimony of thousands who participated in and praised the organization
