Kuwait's Night Sky To Glow With Full Moon During Ramadan

25 March 2024 Kuwait

Al-Ajiri Scientific Center has announced that the full moon of the holy month of Ramadan will illuminate the Kuwaiti sky at its brightest tonight, Monday.

According to a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the center revealed that the moon will be completely illuminated, marking the onset of the full moon phase tomorrow night. It will rise shortly after sunset, gracing the sky throughout the night until it sets with the sunrise the following morning.

Enthusiasts of astronomy are encouraged to seize this opportunity to observe the moon, as it will offer a clear view of its terrain, volcanic craters, and meteor craters using simple instruments like large glasses and small telescopes. The moon will be easily visible to the naked eye.

Moreover, the center highlighted that on the subsequent nights of Tuesday and Wednesday, the moon will rise alongside the star Spica, a prominent celestial body. This celestial event can be observed without aid in the evening and will persist throughout the night until it fades due to the increasing morning twilight caused by the sunrise.
